cantle outdoor adventure: 20-23 May 2010
Many of the delegates who come on the open programmes wish they had two bodies: one to sit and soak up the teaching and the other to explore our world-class countryside. Their dilemma is now resolved.
In May 2010 Cantle will be hosting their forth Outdoor Adventure: a break entirely devoted to experiencing the mountains, lochs and forests of this incredible glen. You are invited to come and enjoy the wilds and take part in some outdoor adventures designed to replenish both body and soul.
Our qualified staff and expert friends are able to offer a wide range of activities. Whether it’s bagging a Munro, paddling down the River Tay, or mountain biking the aim of each day remains the same, to help you enjoy a restorative break from city life.
The programme will run 20 - 23 May 2010. We will provide transport from Edinburgh Airport around 8pm on the Thursday evening and return delegates Sunday evening at 7pm. If this doesn’t suit your plans then there is also the option to arrange your own transport to and from the airport.
The long weekend is a relaxed retreat rather than a boot camp. Most of the activities will require a degree of mobility but the days are focused on enjoyment and not how fast or far you can go. You choose the activities you want to and duck out of those that feel too much like hard work. There is plenty to explore here at the house or in the neighbouring villages.
The organised trips will involve being away for the majority of the day but you will always return to the House for some well-earned dinner and a wee dram. The evenings will be more relaxed and focused around exaggerated stories of the day’s exploits and enjoying the excellent food prepared by our resident chef. A particular favorite was the whisky tasting, that along with the firepit, the feeling of achievement at the top of Ben Lawers, going over the rapids on the River Tay and the chat from the group, all of which made it a weekend we will never forget.
Euan Sutherland, CEO, B&Q Ltd
Just go! The perfect antidote to a stressful lifestyle: The wilds of the highlands, the serenity of the house and the warmest of the welcome.
Paul Benton, Trader, Pali International
I came away sparkly and refreshed. Cantle’s warm and friendly atmosphere, Scottish highlands, amazing hospitality, and so much fun. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
